Any information re: Rodgers/Rogers family. Elmer Rodgers was my paternal grandfather, and there were several children born unto him and Minnie Perry. My mother had told us children many years ago, that my father, Fred Rogers, had decided to drop the D in our last name of Rodgers. If anyone should want this information, feel free to contact me! Thank you and thank you SO much for the hard work you've done on this website!

My name is Ashly Phillips, my great grandfather was George Lee Alcorn, son of Joseph T. Alcorn. I have been trying to find out mainly where I came from and how far back my family really does go. I've read that you are related to a Rebecca Alcorn, and that you have some of George Alcorn's tree. Can you tell me where Rebecca falls in the tree?

I enjoyed you site as I never run into Byrd/Lee connections. It is rare in Virginia. I am a member of the Lees of VA and hope you are. My great grandmother was Eliza Lee who was the child of Richard Henry Lee and Evelyn Byrd Page. Richard Henry Lee was the child of Sarah Lee (d of Richard Henry Lee, the signer) and Edmund Jennings Lee brother of Light Horse Harry Lee. It is fun to think of those people. Evelyn Byrd Page was the grand dau of Wm Byrd the 111 and his 2nd wife Mary Shippen Willing. Have fun with yor work. Eve

Hi! I'm researching the Hills, Plank & others in your family site. As, I'm related to you all through Joseph Littlewood Hill. He was married to: Elmira Mae Plank Hil.l She was a Sister to my Great Grandmother: Sarah Alice Plank Lydell, who married William Lydell. Sarah Alice Plank, died in 1891, giving birth to my Grandmother: Alice Mildred Lydell, in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, on the Oregon Trail. I have a few pictures of the Hills. I have one of Joeeph Littlewwod Hill & Elmira Mae(Ella Mae)Plank Hill, and there three children in Idaho. Joseph looks very much Native American Indian. Ella Mae is blonde & has light skin. My grandmother told us growing up that the Hill Family spoke the Cherokee language Fluently. I love this family site. You have done a wonderful job putting it together. A lot of hard work. Your work here is clear that we are descended from William Holloway to my grandfather, Charles Rufus Holloway (ref. #333). He did live in Mossouri before taking employment in Park River SD for two years, then on to Roseburg, OR to continue teaching there then ultimately as Superintendent of Schools for Porltand. Your .pdf file on William terminates before any additional info is available on my grandfather. Any suggestions on how I can find more information on each of them...William(1), John (2), Thomas David(3), John Thomas (4), Rufus Edgar (5), Charles Rufus Holloway. My older brother is Charles Rufus Holloway III. I just noticed my cousin Walter Evans is lurking after the same information by reason of the comments below. I agree...wonderful page you have here. Thanks, Joe Holloway

Under Ed's father's family, the links of William Holloway conclude with my grandfather, Chrles Rufus Holloway. I want to cross-check this data with some other material-- soe of which was included in some "vanity press" Holloway books late in the 1800s-early 1900s that we have. Good job, and many thanks!

Thank you for an delightful tour with your family. This is by far one of the best Home Pages I've come across. I'm researching my mother's family (CHEEK) from Richland Parish, Louisiana. Her grandparents were Henry and Louise (Tingle) Cheek. My mother's oldest sister said Louise had a twin, Lucille or Lucinda. Time period of Louise's birth was probably late 1850s or early 1860s. I've been unable to locate Louise's parents. Apparently she died in the late 1880-90s (prior to any of the grandchildren's births). Thanks, Barbara

My great-grandfather is Samuel Brinton Washburn. The only thing I know about him is what I've been told... which may or may not be accurate.  He died in 1963. He had a son, Junior Brinton Washburn, who was born in 1903 and who died in 1982 in Oklahoma. J.B. (as he was called) was my grandfather but I never had the privilege to meet him. He apparently had several wives (or perhaps just 'partners') throughout his life, including my grandmother, Emma Flora Stolle (her maiden name).  Any info you could provide about Samuel or J.B. would be most appreciated (birthdates, death, spouse(s), siblings, children, etc.).  Serious information only, please. Thank you!

Your site is great! Didn't find a link from my Hills to yours though. I would love to have your site in my Hill Family Trees webring, connecting all Hill Family researchers and their data. find out more here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hillsofsalem/joinring.html.

My homepage about my Hills is here:

I came across your research on the Rootsweb page. The one I am interested in is Charles Hatfield who was married to Mary LeMaster. He is my g-g-g-g grandfather in the Hatfield line. He is my roadblock. I know nothing more of him prior to his birth. I don't even know who his father is. His son, Andrew b. 22 jan 1839 is the line I have info on. Thank you for the info you had on his mother, Mary. Julie Tucker-Portland, OR

I'm researching the Gullion part of your family. I too am descended from Jeremiah Gullion and benefitted a great deal from your work. There is at least one thing that I've come across that is in conflict with your info. I've found at least one source that says Jeremiah's father was Isaac Gullion (1700-1799) and Isaac's father was a Jeremimiah Gullion who came to America in 1699 from Ulster and subsequently lived in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

William Irving Flood, son of James Monroe Flood, married Una Virginia Flood, all of Buckingham Co, VA. William, Una and several of their children are buried in the Bethel Cemetery, just across the road from an old Flood home and farm. I was born on an adjacent farm owned by my grandfather David Wesley Ferdinand Cole, Una's brother. I have downloaded much of the Flood data reaching back to Capt John which you have posted on Roots Web.

Thank you so much for this important contribution to my genealogical efforts.
