Richard Lee was born March 22, 1617/18 and died 1664 in Jamestown, Virginia. He married Anne Constable 1637 in London England. Richard came to Virginia from Stratford Langdon, in Essex, England in 1638 aboard the "Alexander." He was the colonial Secretary of State in 1642 and was in the House of Burgess from 1647 until 1651. His home was called "Paradise." Richard and Anne had six sons and two daughters including:

Charles was the youngest child of Richard. He was born in 1656 in "Cobb’s Hall" in Northumberland County, Virginia and died in 1702. He married Elizabeth Medstand in 1676. Charles was a Justice for Northumberland County from 1687 until 1699. Charles and Elizabeth had two daughters and two sons including:

Richard Lee was the second oldest child of Richard Lee and Anne Constable. He married Latitia Corbin.

Thomas Lee

Thomas Lee was the youngest child of Charles. He was born 1679 and died 1735. Thomas married Elizabeth Keene in 1700. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Keene and Elizabeth Rogers. Thomas was Justice for Lancaster County, Virginia in 1712 and Sheriff in 1714. Thomas had five sons and three daughters including:

Henry Lee as the youngest child of Richard Lee and Latitia Corbin. He married Mary Bland.

Henry was the son of Henry Lee and Mary Bland. He married Lucy Grymes.

Leanna Dibrell

Leanna was the oldest child of Elizabeth. She married Michael Jones 1777 in Buckingham County, Virginia. Michael served in the Revolutionary War under the command of Captain Joseph Mitchel’s Company, 12th Virginia Regiment. He was reported missing. His home was called "Traveler’s Rest."

Henry Lee

Henry Lee was the oldest child of Henry Lee and his wife, Lucy Grymes. He first married Matilda Lee, then Ann Hill Carter, mother of Robert E. Lee.

Robert E. Lee was the seventh of nine children of Henry Lee and his second wife, Ann Hill Carter. Robert E. Lee married Mary Anne Randolph Custis. They had three sons and four daughters. General Robert E. Lee lead the Confederate forces in the Civil War.
